The most banal thing about Oprah is that she is beyond reproach because those that love her don't care how idiotic they look loving her. Hell, if you gave me a free car I'd love you too. And the people that hate her have hated her for so long that it's gotten trite. Oprah needs to run for office or make a stand on RU-486 or something. A little something to rekindle the fire. Those of us who don't watch TV in the afternoon still get to see her pudgy mug on the cover of her magazine every month. And then we get to see her kiss and make up with David Letterman. But it's getting old, man. Just like Oprah.
